Terms of service

This is a starting draft written for Vasatya's actual service. Have a lawyer in India review it before launch, particularly the sections on refunds, liability and governing law.
These terms are an agreement between you and [Your company name] Private Limited ("Vasatya", "we", "us"), which operates Vasatya.ai. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. The service
Vasatya helps you find full-time job postings, estimates how well they match your profile, prepares tailored application materials from the information you provide, and tracks your applications. On the Vasatya Assist plan, our staff also submit applications on your behalf. On the Team plan, recruiting firms manage applications for their candidates.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You're responsible for your account, its password and everything done with it.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Your information and its accuracy
Your profile, resume and screening answers (including work authorization, visa sponsorship, salary and notice period) are used exactly as you provide them. You confirm they are true. Vasatya's AI rewords and reorders your existing experience and flags anything it cannot trace to your resume; you remain responsible for reviewing what is sent on self-service plans.
4. Vasatya Assist
- By authorizing Assist, you allow Vasatya staff to submit job applications in your name using your profile and the materials prepared for each job.
- You can switch to approving each job first, or pause applications, at any time from your dashboard.
- Daily application numbers are a maximum, not a promise; they depend on how many suitable new jobs are posted.
- Employers may contact you directly. Respond to them yourself and keep your tracker updated.
5. Recruiting teams
If you use a Team workspace, you must have each candidate's written consent before storing their data or applying for them, and you're responsible for your recruiters' use of the service.
6. No guarantee of outcomes
Employers make all hiring decisions. We do not guarantee interviews, offers, salary outcomes, visa approvals or employment. Match scores are estimates to help you choose jobs.
7. Acceptable use
- Don't submit false or misleading information, or apply as someone else without their consent.
- Don't use Vasatya to spam employers, scrape the service, or try to access other users' data.
- Follow the terms of the job sites and employer portals you apply through.
8. Plans and payment
Paid plans are billed in US dollars through Razorpay and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel any time from Plan & usage; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Refunds are covered by our refund and cancellation policy. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
9. Job postings and third parties
Job postings come from employers' public job boards. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or availability, or for employers' decisions.
10. Your content
You own your resume and profile. You give us permission to store and process them to provide the service, including sending relevant text to our AI provider to prepare your materials. See our privacy policy.
11. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time from Account settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, after notice where reasonable.
12. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost job opportunities, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be handled by the courts at [City], India.
